Research interests
I am currently working in phylogenomics to infer the evolutionary history of individual fungal lineages within the orders Agaricales and Russulales, as well as within the algal order Charales, using target enrichment and whole genome sequencing techniques. I actively collaborate with amateur mycologists from the surrounding area, enriching my research with their insights and fostering a community-oriented approach to my work. My goal is to enhance our understanding of these highly interesting, important, but often overlooked groups of organisms and to contribute to the development of innovative methodologies in the field.
